What I really want is those hybrid drives that Vista claimed support for. Academic purposes only cos seriously speaking, what are the actual benefits I get from my Raptor RAID 0 over those dirt cheap 7200.12s RAIDed or otherwise ?
Sure SS'd are fast but right now id only trust the Intel drives..
and yes the OCZ vertex's have made significant gains on the Intel x25's but still i feel the technology still needs some more time to make price/performace/are little better
basically the rate at which companies are launching new versions with improvements itself tells me ill have a obsolete flash drive in a few months and there goes all my money !!
but on the other hand .. if you must have the best !! and have the $$ there is NO EQUAL
im split 50-50 on ssd or not... lol half my brain says LOOOK at the SPEED !!! lol
and the other half says LOOOK at the $$ and also they will get better/faster/cheaper in the next 6 months... so yeah its CHAOS in my head .. lol

+1
Although im sure that when you bought those raptors, normal 7200 rpm SATA drives were no where close.
That's the thing you gotta love/hate about technology.
