4670's price is <4.5k not 9k. and it have no compatible issues with cx400. in fact it works on local psu but not recommended.
4870 1gb and gigabyte superb 460 would be a better option.

Not a problem with GTS 250 and AMD. Plus a CX 400 ;) or a vx 450. 4870 and GTX 260 would go a little over your budget.

4870 on gigabyte 460w??will it provide tht much power?? I guess u shouldn't risk 4870 on gigabyte 460 better get cx400 or vx450 from corsair....

OOPS OK its 4870 not 4670
how much does the gigabyte 460 costs and are u sure it can support 4870 and my rig

cause it requires two 6pin connec

cx 400 is fine for my rig? with 4870
cause i cant afford a vx450

does it have two 6pin connec or should i have to use any adapter thingy

so guys if i go with a tagan 500w r u sure ill be on a safe side

what about cooler master extreme 600w

even it is available at the same price

once again my build in detail

AMD PHENOM X2 550BE(0922A)(UNLOCKABLE AND OVERCLOCKABLE)

BIOSTAR 790GX

CORSAIR DDR2 RAM 1X2GB 800mhz

500GB SATA

COOLER MASTER HYPER TX5

HD 4870

20x dvd writer

two 120mm fans

and does the cooler master 600w has a 2xpci connector

what about zebronics pro

the one that dominator

has even it falls under my budget (correct me if i am wrong)

tagan 500w have dual 12v rails with a rating of 20A on each.with Max. Combined power rating of 432W....which is more than enogh to your rig....go with tagan 500W

dominator got zebby 550 pro....

using that psu he is having a 4870 overclocked and phenom II 550Be unlocked to x4 and overclocked to 4Ghz....i think u got wot i mean....zebby pro 550 is a good buy @budget....

4870 comes with two adaptors for 6 pin ones. Most of sub 550~600W PSU has only one 6 pin connector. Im well satisfied with the Pro 550, and ive even tested the voltages on 12v, 5v rails using multimeter at max possible load and was perfectly fine and same as in idle. Also even after long hours of gaming, the PSU feels too cool when touched.

But i cant recommend it as i dun have ny solid proof for it..nor any good detailed reviews [like the hardware secret's ].

But The Tagan TG 500 and 600 are proven to be gr8 ones. They are 80% efficient and overloads to 600W[TG500] easily w/o breaking a sweat. VX 450's main advantage is its 5yr warranty, unlike tagan, seasonic, and silverstone.

I would suggest a Tagan 600 Watts as with 500 watts you would almost be pushing the PSU to its limit with a card Like GTX 260 & 4870,

As out of 18 Amps limit for each 12 V Rail as much as 16 Amps will be needed by GTX 260 itself, so you are left with just 2 Amps ! From where will you generate the power for other components like HDD,DVD Drive,Motherboard,Floppy,Case Fans, Memory module etc ? Which for sure would require at least 6 Amps min even a 4870 at stock requires 14 Amps for safe operations.

Thus better go for a Tagan 600 Watts which provides 22 Amps on each 12V rail or Corsiar 450 VX which provides 33 Amps on single rail or settle for a card like 4850 with a 500 Watts Tagan PSU, even better would be a 4770 with this PSU.
