I plan to sell my one year old BenQ FP71E+ and get one of these new 19" beauties.

Mainly need it for surfing the net, and a bit of CS/Photoshop. I play CS at 640x480, and even though its far from the native resolution on my lcd currently, its pretty much playable.

Question is, would it still be playable on that resolution on these widescreen lcd's ?

Also, suggest me a good buy in the 12-12.5k range, one that has a high contrast ratio as i dont want games/movies to appear dark (they do on my FP71e+)

Thx in advance.

Get the 22incher that raghunandan is offering. its too sweet a deal for the price. clinch it if you can

i just got the va1912wb-3 ystday for 11450/- nice screen..

has 5ms response time and 700:1 contrast ratio.. do chk it..

or if u can get the vg1930wm.. goes for arnd 12.5.. diff to find though !

IMO there will be some blurring when you use resolutions other than the native reolution on a LCD.(Dont know whether this happens when u use DVI too)

from my experience, the Samsung 940 BW's interpolation is pretty good.

I play Quake 4 at 1280x1024 stretched to widescreen and CS at 1440x900 with my 7900 GS and the quality in both cases is really good. :)

^^ Obv it will be good at the native res. I wanted to know how it works on 640x480 as i play CS at that res.
