guys..
i want 1TB internal.
which one to go for ?
i have segate 7200.11 and no problem at all.
i would think of WD green as i heard RPM varies between 5400 - 7200 so save power when not using...my concern will be service in Pune and Price.
Plz suggest.

I'm currently using 2 x 1 TB WD Caviar Greens (WD10EACS and WD10EADS). The difference is that one has 16MB buffer and the second one has 32MB buffer size. Both are working perfectly fine and I'm using them for dumb storage. You can get both for Rs. 5700 + Shipping which might be Rs.50. The Seagate 1TB had firmware issues so I'd suggest against it.

I've both the HDD's set to a single partition of 931 GB each.

Edit: These are 3.5" internal drives i'm talking about. Externals would obviously be costlier.

Is the segate free agent- esata n fire wire enabled?

Plz recommend me a eSATA n FIRE WIRE enabled External HDD

Just checked that Free agent is both ESATA n Fire Wire enabled.Plz quote the price.

Is there any risk attached as mentioned in the thread above as it will act as back-up
