2.1 Speaker System for music @ 4k

I have owned Altec Lansing A300 (which I bought with PC some 6 yrs ago) for music listening and was satisfied with its quality. But lost them during shifting my stuff to other location . Could have bought it again but AL discontinued the series.

I am looking for similar (AL A300) sound signature a bit more bass will be good but shoudn't be overpowering.

Has auditioned F&D A111F and Intex (don't remember model no.) didn't like both; F&D bass was boomy and was eating up details.

Please suggest me 2.1 speaker system for music with tight bass (enjoyable but not overpowering the details); with good mids and highs; in budget of 4k ( bit flexible).
 
Was searching about edifier C2 .. Seems good.. Anyone have them?
Plz suggest will be buying on tuesday....
 
Edifier C2 have been termed very good in many reviews. Only con I had read that it would lost values of bass, treble, etc - which user would have set as per personal taste - on power off.
 
Yes, thats only con according every review n thats not a big issue.
I am looking for feedback about bass and mids. Any Edifire C2 user.?
 
My uncle has it and they're totally worth the price. If you can, the C3 is a better deal at about 7k approx.
Significant sound improvement with even a basic sound card like the Xonar DG (I have both the C3 and Xonar DG).

Couldn't find C3 at 7k .... Flipkart selling @ 11.5 k.. Snapdeal @8.5k.. n thats out of budget.
 
Doubt you'll get it online at 7k or there about. I had bought it from Lamington Road for 6k couple of years back. When i last enquired around Dec last year at Lammy, was quoted 5k for the C2 / C2+ and 7k for the C3 if I am not mistaken. If you could save up and get the C3, they're worth it in my opinion, especially with a sound card.
 
aprox. Cost of
C2: 4k
C2+ : 5.5k
C3: 11k

I think i ll slightly up budget n get C2+ (and a decent sound card next month maybe)

So final Q guys is C2+ worth extra 1.5 k.
 
11k for C3 is crazy! Unless your room is very large, I'd say go ahead with C2. Heard the C2+ and though output is supposed
to be higher than C3, that didnt seem the case on actual usage. Better get the C2 with a sound card instead.

Bought C2+ bcoz of higher sub, C3 was out of budget . Will post about it when parcel arrives.:)

It arrived in nicely packed box. Opened it and Plugged to Laptop .
SQ is great for price. If C2 has lower output than this, then I made right choice getting C2+.
Bass is perfect for me have set it to max 2-3 not overwhelming but certainly enjoyable . Just have to play a bit with positioning of subwoofer.
In this budget I think this is perfect choice. Really happy with purchase.
Don't have sound card, will get in a month.
Haven't tried with Movies. Will try and update later
