1. Altec Lansing ATP3 . . . Logitech X 230 . . . Creative I-Trigue 3600
Which is better in sound quality? Or any other suggestion in 2-3 k rs range? i'd like dual tone colour speakers to complement white CRT rather than fully black though LCD may be on the horizon.

2. Logitech MX 518 . . . good buy? I dont have much trust in Genius as a company though Ergo 525 seems a good buy. Gaming mouse , which is good in 2-3k rs range?

Could u mention specific prices in Delhi.

2.mx518 very good buy...you may wanna see the razor mice also...a couple are on slae in the marketplace here
 
atp3 is damn good

mx518 is good but g5 is better, I would say increase ur budget and get g5, i bought it for 3.4k in september, i dont know the price now
 
The G5 sucks. Laser engine sucks. Its too enstable and skippy.

G5/Copperhead/Habu are crap compared to a decent optical sensor. Get MX518 or better still Razer Deathadder.
 
The Ergo 525 sucks as well, same gh3y (sorry for the word) Laser sensor as the CH/G5/Habu.

The MX518 is like 2100 Rs. now...
 
Purchased AL VS-4121 for 3250/- from SMC today. Wanted a set of good 2.1 cans for my ThinkPad, nothing special. ATP3 was available for 2700/-.

Also bought Transcend 1GB DDR2-667 RAM (laptop) for 2800/-.
 
Chalo, thankx guys. i will be sticking with the options u finalized. Nt a bad deal for under 5K.

One more doubt i have: this seems cheesy but sometime ago i had an Intex mouse with silver colour on it. Of course that colour got faded after few months. And a friend of mine with a MS Comfort optical, its colour (silver again!) got rubbed off. Since MX 518 is mostly silver then will it also fade off or is the faceplate it has protecting the silver colour (or the plate itself silver?) ?. Mouse looks horrible when colour fades off.

Just to come back on this. I got the MX 518 for 2200 Rs at Nehru Place, Delhi. 3yr warranty is gud too with this. Will get the ATP3 a little later. The mouse is extremely good, be it for gaming or general purpose. Only gripe is that the Set Point software can't be configured for various games.

P.S: The first piece i got was dead out of the box. i almost died right there but the shopkeeper replaced it with a smile on his face. CHeers!
