^^The opinion you get about them on TE :D

Specs can never give you a real picture. The best thing would be either by listening to the speakers yourself or by asking for other people'e opinions. Even reviews can be misleading at times so the former two are the best options.

well,my budget increased to 7k(it surely wont increase further)??.now,i loved MX5021,but couldnt find them anywhere in pune for below 7k.nor can i find CS21.so which one should i go for???how is the JBL creature??

:P :P How come te members are the only ones who say that creative and logitech are crap and some altec lansing is better. I have looked at reviews from around the world and there are only good reviews about the logitech and creative.

^^Dude, talk some sense. Thats like me saying that even though a Pentium D is for 6k, an X2 for 15k is a no brainer. For the price the ATP-3 are the best available. If you can find something better please say so.
I am talking sense mayte... hear both the speakers yourself and decide. If something goes 10 times better (sounds in this case) and costs 3 times more IMO that justifies its purchase.

@ Kumar agree that the down firing woofer needs proper placement before those booms sound anything close to errr booms.

@ hunter I was planning on the ATP3 meself while in Chennai (had purchased the Z5500 and Z5300 and sent both of these home), carried the 5300 with me around christmas. Now I was stuck for speakers on a 3K budget (wanted 2.1) heard the MX and got hooked...waited a couple of weeks and then went all out with the 5021. never looked back.

For a strict 3K, I guess the ATP3 are 'OK' ;)

hi guys,i need help to buy 2.1 speakers for my pc and also to use with my ipod.performance in music matters, forget about games or movies.i want deep bass with no distortion.wont be listening at high volumes,i prefer a good quality sound to loudness.my budget is Rs.4,000 max.

Dude, Creative Inspire 2.1 is for around 1.8K.

Your Altec Lancing wil cost about 2.6K.

The two have different wattage, hence, the price difference.

Those who sneer at Creative, plesae go n check teh Creative I-Trigue series.

ananth, I guess these I-trigue ones are around 4K only. So chcek them also.

^^Three dinky 1" drivers can hardly produce any depth. They'd need the sub to crossover at a pretty high 100-120Hz at the very least, maybe even more cos they can't go any lower themselves. So creative can do two things... either leave a big hole in mid-bass or cross over at 120Hz which means the audio from the sub will be very very directional. This itself is enuf to avoid it like plague. I-trigue = crap... enuf said.

ATP3

creative and logitech doesnt have good bass,im talking da inspire series.

It sucks hell.

with ATP3 u get Treable option so u can equalise the sound using hardware and will help a lot for good music.

i cant understand why treble button is not kept in otehr speakers:@

Its very good for tuning audio to proper levels.

So you mean the similar priced Altec ones are not?

Nopes... the VS4121 which is very similarly priced to the I-trigue has downfiring 3" drivers which'll go down lower and won't be as susceptible to this problem.

@ about logitech and bass WTF do u even know what you're talkin bout?? The Z5500 and 5300 nearly blew me outta my room when I hooked em up to 2 rigs and played the same number on both setups at the same time:ohyeah:

guys,guys...i did mention that my budget had increased to 7k.so please, lets move ahead of the ATP3 and inspires, and move on to a higher range of speakers i.e. if there are better ones than the ATP3 for upto 7k(or else i'll buy the ATP3).has anybody heard the JBL Creature set,its around 6k.try as i might,i cant stretch for the MX5021.so now i am back to square one and totally confused.....also,kindly read all the entries in this thread before replying.
