Hello.

I wish to purchase a couple of Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB hard drives (3.5 Inch, 32 MB Cache, 7200 RPM SATA II WD20EADS). I’ve received a few quotes from people but the prices seem a bit too high to me.

If someone here sells them, please post in this thread or send me a private message with a price quote (including shipping to Noida).

North of 11k for each drive IIRC - why would you want to spend so much? Not enough space or SATA ports left out?

The cheaper WD10EADS costs 4.3k. A lot cheaper if you're buying 4 of them. Better still get hold of 3 Seagate 1.5TB drives for around 7k each. Still worth the penny unlike the 2TB drives.

I only have two empty SATA ports to fill as two of them are already occupied by Western Digital 1TB drives, so I’m going for the maximum capacity I can outfit them with. Also, I hear that Western Digital is far superior to Seagate or any other drive manufacturer.

Not worth it IMO.

Rather get 2 x 1TB WD Black for 6000 each!
