Well, everything seems pretty clear. Summing up everything we have just said, we can state that new dual-core Core 2 Duo E8500, E8400 and E8200 processors on 45nm cores are great from all stand points. In other words, the second reincarnation of dual-core processors on Core micro-architecture turned out a definite success. The only upsetting thing about it is that the sales of these processors will definitely shake AMD’s positions in the market even more, because they cannot offer anything of the same performance level at the time.

So should we cry or rejoice :S

yup great performance and price.. cant wait to get my hands on one :)
i feel bad for AMD though... wonder what they will do now

guys wen is it cming into market ? and prices

actually m planning to buy new processor should i wait ??

will it be better than the quad core ??

wait for the quad core versions if possible...they are coming out in march maybe... prices for current 45nm core 2s range from 150-300 US$... it will be more in india when it comes obviously

Hmmm... but i think CPU prices are little different. It's not like gfx card. Processors always sell for a very competitive price in India.
For example Q6600 sells for something like 11K at Newegg just the price at which we can get it in India

:) ^^You keep waiting...you will wait all your life...

btw...AMD is like almost n it's death throes...I mean they cannot compete against the current dual cores...forget the ones on review here
