PC Peripherals 3 Nagging Questions ! Please help !

I have 3 questions and will be glad if you could answer them...

1. Will XfX Video Crads bought in a retail store (CompUSA, BestBuy, etc.) in USA with original bill, carry warranty in India ?
2. Will DFI Motherboards bought from retails stores carry warranty in India ?
3. A cheap, reliable PC component site that ships to UK

Not anymore, XFX no longer have global warranty. They had global warranty some time back like MSI but now both do not offer warranty locally on products purchased outside india. So no you wont get warranty here even if its retail product.

Quite a bit of the stuff is cheaper compared to India. A Leadtek 7800 GT costs £211 = Rs. 16.9 K if im right

you are right K.I.T.T. !!! That is quite cheap..... maybe not as cheap as the US but still, compared to India, damn cheap!!

it might be cheap in some deal i guess. otherwise uk & india prices are more or less the same other than some particular products that arent launched here.

Not meaning to hijack, but someone send me a PM with 3-5 random "highish end" components, and I'm almost certain that you can get them here for considerably less. I dont know how much a video card weighs, im assuming less than 2 kg boxed ...5 day shipping from here to india insured for £250 for a 2 kg parcel is about £20. so alltogether it would be rs. 18.4 k assuming £1 = Rs. 80/-

The GBP has fallen a lot against Rs. in past months. few months back it was in range of Rs.85. Now its 78.5 approx.

Well a cousin of mine has just moved over to the UK (Newcastle to be precise).

So I was thinking of asking him to bring over some stuff....

Nopes, not for the SI-120 just generally. Actually he'll be back only by March/April so I'll order anything around that time, but yeah I'll definately let you know
