See what's happened is after so much scalping even normal users have it now subconsciously in their heads. a retraining of the sub conscious is required. the truth is this....

4000 series are coming hard and fast with projected 35-50% increase in performance. The 3000 series will look pedestrian come 1st week of July.

From now till 1st week of July is the very slim window available for people to sell of thier used/new 3000 series Cards for close to msrp, because after that there is going to be a brutal crash in prices.

So user/seller wants to sell thier 3080, my offer:

will pay msrp if new. for used will pay 75% of msrp

That's not how market works , first of all new cards would be hard to get and scalped and price hiked into oblivion, because miners , gamers , scalpers would jump on them plus nvidia will launch only top end model so it's not like everyone can afford them.

Also price is determined by market so if people have determined price of a GPU is 2 times it's MRP then it's effectively new MRP and it will sell at that price.

Having said that I do agree price have been really bloated and it's unfair for gamers and I myself am looking for GPU but price is not gonna crash that rapidly as you are predicting it will come down but gradually.

I am expecting hopefully it makes 10 series and 20 series relatively cheaper :/

3080 FE queue is still stuck at December 2020, so no one will part a FE card for 47k. Also, AIB cards were probably bought for 1+ lakh.
Regarding 4000 series, it will be priced much higher, this was clearly seen with 3080 Ti FE which was priced at 1.07 lakh as compared to 62k for 3080 FE.
Suggest you wait for July and buy 4000 series instead.

Dreaming doesn't hurt but daydreaming is bad and shows signs of distress and lack of sleep.

Also have you ever heard of paper launch? Take a hint.

This was true before the launch of 30 series, mining, scalping. Ab shear ke muh khoon lag gaya hai.

i think the day is coming closer... many interactions with sellers of used gpus in olx & fb marketplace groups i can feel a sense of desparation and also dreamy eyes for the planned upcoming 4000 series upgrades...

getting some nice quotes, but I think will hold out for just a bit more. i think 3rd-4th week of June will be the most magical window where owners desparate to offload their 3000 series Cards in fear of fall in prices will do whatever it takes to sell, will give juicy quotes...

Anyhow, my offer here still stands with a small change....

But now looking for only USED. will pay 75%-80% of msrp depending on card...

I rarely post on threads like this but had to this time. Older members would know this.

Why would someone in their sane mind sell you their 30 series card at a huge loss?

I was about to buy a 3080 TI last year by extending my budget by 40k. It was coming in at 1.4l and before I could pay, it was out of stock so had to get a 3070 TI in 88K. That's like 27k more than the MSRP. Remind me why I would like to sell it at 46k according to you?

Also, do share what you have been smoking with others. Don't keep the good stuff to yourself.

45k - 48k

this is my offer for used 3080 FE depending on condition of card, warranty period left, etc.


everything is being discussed in this thread, we all know what's the situation of mining/crypto/used gpu, so i dont need to add anything...

it is now universally accepted that 45k-48k is an excellent price for a used 3080 FE.

all predictions are that it will go down further with announcement of 4000 series and with daily dumping of used gpus on different selling platforms.

Getting some offers from sellers in this range on olx. have had good experiences there, but prefer to buy from a trusted member on our forum.
