Mention the following are needed or not.

Locker or unlocked. CDMA/GSM.
Need HSPA/HSDPA/LTE support
Need to make voice calls/SMS/USSD checks
Need to have WiFi support inbuilt? Or will soft wifi work.

There is no template for this, but all these will help to zero in on your choice.
 
unlocked. GSM. no choice made about HSPA/HSDPA/LTE support... I am looking for a used one... so will decide based on what comes to offer
 
I have a Huawei E3121 and a Huawei UMG1831.

Huawei E3121 has never been used after initial testing.

Huawei UMG1831 has been used for a month.

None of them in warranty.

If interested in any of these, let me know how much you can offer.
