i wont recommend running anything more than 9600GT on a CM extreme power series 500W...

u better get a Corsair CX400 for 3k and sell off ur CM 500W for 2k to local dealer.

AFAIK 4770 would consume equal or less power as compared to a 9600GT, and the 4770 is indeed faster as compared to a 8800GT.

^^

Yea, 4770 consumes peak 50W as compared to 9600GT peak 60W

Actually...hd 4770 was not in stock...and i was definately going to buy that....so I settled for a 4670 1 gig...and now I plan to get a 19'' Lcd...will it be enough for it?....One more thing....will my CM 500w support a 250 gts?

So for GTS 250, u better off with corsair... But if u wna stick to CM 500W, its ok.

^^
20-25% difference or 70-80%!!.....
Anyways 4770 was not available.:@ ...and I have already bought 4670...will upgrade later.......:)
And I do not feel the need to start a new topic for this...so what 19'' LCD Monitor should I go for under 7k? or rather the cheapest option ?

Guys just spoke to Prime and Rahul-Itwares and according to the card is not in stock rite now.

Spoke to few other dealers and got the same reply.

Shit man :P

^ 4770 will be replaced by HD4730, similar performance, only $79 but power consumption will be high as its based on 55nm..

4770 is facing yeild issue at TSMC as it's based on 40nm process..So, will be availaible in limited supply all over the world..:)

Order HD4770 from lynx or TE Dealers Paradise itself. If u're gonna buy a GPU, honestly, it shud be an HD4770(or 9800GT if u're a nvidia fanboi)

Il tell you what you did.

You went to buy an apple and came back with a lemon :P

But as the saying goes, if life gives you a lemon make some lemonade...

ya ya...i am bored!
