no offense but 8800gt is also overkill for 1024X768
 
Nopes, no overkill. Its fun to play Crysis @ 1152X864 8X AA 35FPS average. :ohyeah:

Now playing GRID @ 1280 X 1024 16X AA, no tension, game settings sliders to extreme high in all games. ;)

Find someone going to the states and send the card for RMA with them...or try posting it there and receive for RMA to a US address...lots of options ;)

Price for card is rs. Rs. 11500+4%

Rs. 350 courier charges extra. I will be getting the stuff after 3 days. If you want to place an order for the same you have to deposit the money in bank. Once I will get the cash I will courier the same.

@rahul---Plz post post the prices and make a GO ...there will be lot of ppl interested for both 4850 & 4870 as long as prices are arnd 11~11.5k(4850) & 15~16k(4870) :D

Whats the warrenty status on GeCube... I am looking for something which offers minimum 3 yrs gurantee... Anything above then that is a bonous... I know that my card is gonna be a keeper...
 
i wish i waited for a bit long b4 buying my 8800gt.:( :( 11k~12k for 4850 is absolutely killer. newayz back to playing grid :ohyeah:
 
I was sleeping, now buddy from US is leaving on FRI morning and only 3days left, MON, TUE, and THUR. Wed is Independance day in US. Cant take risk on 3 business days ship. and fast ship will ruin the value instead KMD better.

Those temps are the result of crappy fan settings in the vga BIOS. IIRC, the max speed it runs at is 20 ~ 25%. All you need to do is grab one of those modified bios available at XS (At your discretion though) which have a better fan profile (Upto 100%). This has brought temps down by 15 degrees or so. Another thing to do is remove stock goop and apply AS5 or MX-2. That also has had great effect in bringing down temps.

Or, slap on the Accelero S1 Rev.2 and see those temps fall by 30 C ;)
