So my guess was right, i think 4870 is little overpriced.. It shd cost Rs 19000..
GTX 280 is perfect at Rs 24500, since it costs $100(Rs 6500) more..
GTX 280 shd cost perfect at Rs 40000 or $650 =(Rs 6500 x 6) :

4850 is available via KMD for 11k... prime sellin for 12k
4870 could be availed thru KMD for 15k.... prime may sell it for 15.5-16k

KMD's price is around the 17k mark. The Indian price (as quoted by Amarbir) comes to 19~19.5k (taxes included).

Btw that 260 GTX even if you overclock it by 60mhz or so on the core and a little bit on the memory, matches the performance of stock 280! It is a kind of sweet deal at that price point comparing with the 280.
