Graphic Cards 4870: are these benchies real?

And if they are, Nvidia is in for a big trouble and we are in for a big treat because according to these two benchmarks 4870 (and not 4870X2) is going to slap 9800GX2 silly.

Yup this is the only i stalled my 9800GTX order thro KMD!...we are in for a real treat this summer...if this is true!!! :clap:

They're fake.

If you look at the image carefully, you'd find the font isn't right.

eg: numeral '4' in the HD 4870 as well as some of the scores and the '4' in the X2 4400+ does not match.

Edit: Googled for it and got more : Fake Radeon HD 4870 benchmark...

even Guru of Guru3D Mr. Hilbert Hagedoorn find it interesting .... may be but if this is true then nvidia top-end users must die in shock.... a 512MB ATI card just kick ass the fastest nvidia gpu the flagship 1GB 9800GX2... how cud it be possible???:ashamed:

We have absolutely no idea how valid these results are. Yet there are some results floating on the web showing regarding ATI's upcoming ATI HD 4870 512MB ATI HD 4870 versus the 1GB GeForce 9800 GX2. Included are Crysis and 3DMark06 results.

Let me state that anyone can make this stuff up and re-produce some nice charts. But if true .. very interesting as it would certainly seem that the new Radeon is an impressive contender. A well .. fingers crossed.

i dont know what they are cooking up

but here hd3850 price have dropped to eur 65 before tax for best gainward or sapphire cards with thermaltake v2 or zalman vf900 cooelrs .leave the reference designed ones

and here market price is usually higher than usa

i feel ati is clearing up their stock for something very good

i do not remember this good price drop in x1950xt/pro cards just before x2900 release

there was price drop

but this 65eur price is crazy

i am thinking of picking up one gain ward with v2 at eur 72 including tax and shipping
