EDIT: they are doing it with a e8400 @ 3ghz,

God knows why none of the reviewer's have overclocked their system even one bit, at least they could have shown some stats how much these cards are getting bottle necked!

Edited........

@mods could these threads be merged?

you realllyy gotta stop cribbing about drivers..

even ati has broken drivers with its powerplay.

so lets just leave the drivers out of this shall we?

it just goes to show how mcuh the companies actually care about launch dates... :@

i mean.. its the same case wiht both ATI & AMD.

yes it is indeed banik, come to think of it, do we really need the processing power, there are no games out there to really take advantage of the hardware thats coming out, barring crysis for some reason GPU manuf havent been able to conquer.

IMHO for monitors till 22' the 8800GT/4850/9800GTX+ will suffice and for monitors above that till 30' the 4870/GTX260/GTX280/ 4870x2, quite frankly the latter two are an overkill, but again I wouldnt mind having either!

So let the wars continue, but also it would be nice if we got the game manuf to bring out games to make the most of the hardware.

Strongly disagree, unless you're playing 2007 and earlier games. I get framing on even much older titles like NWN2 and Hellgate London. Newer RPG titles seem to be even more tough on cards than FPSs.

^ Isn't that what developers are doing? You can't move ahead unless you leave the past right? So visual nirvana pushes the envelopes of performance requirements constantly outwards. So what? Its needed...
