^i meant to say that wired broadband is not sufficient for our data needs. So when people need speed they might turn to 3g.
The pricing has to be compared to the system of demand and supply.
The demand is pretty much there But supply is scarce.
So for comparison all other parameters have to be on similar terms to even consider their pricing.
^ I understand where you are coming from but the example I gave only meant to state the fact that even they are not being able to offer 3G/4G for cheap. I even remember in 2008, when iPhone 3G was released, people were so fed up of the 3G connectivity issues in U.S. that they left their phones in 2G mode for the first so many months. Dropped calls, disturbance etc. In our case, at least the first step has been good. I'm using Vodafone 3G and there have only 2-3 instances where the connection changed mode to EDGE.
To be able to work on the demand and supply philosophy, they need time. Like I said before, 2G plans on most networks are around Rs 98/month for 2GB of data. As more and more users start using 3G, the prices will come down.
Anyways, the world ends next Dec.. no point discussing all this. Get 3G now, even though it's expensive and enjoy!
