i have HP laptop(core2duo T5250)
i have 4GB RAM but,due to win7 32 bit ,only 3 gb is shown in task manager.
how can i use all 4GB ,with 32 bit.

To use 4 Gb RAM u need a 64 bit OS. a 32 Bit OS is limited to 3.x GB by design. It is normal.

A 32 bit system is not limited to 3 GB RAM, it is limited to 4 GBs.

32 bit Windows is limited to 3GB.

Get 64 bit windows, better solution.

^I'm sure HP wasn't foolish to bundle 4GB RAM and a 32bit OS along with the system! He must've upgraded as the case seems to be. Would anything go wrong if he installs Windows 7 on that system? I don't think that'd be foolish either.

Dell does it all the time man, 'oz some fools think more RAM is better! So they have to adhere to public sentiment. Customers who buy 4gb ram with 32bit OS are informed upfront that they will only be able to use 3gb period! HP is no fool they just have to follow the trend. :)
