5.1 channel speakers for movies

I am looking to buy a 5.1 speakers to go with my 1080p BlurayRips collection....wanted to buy Logitech z5500 but thats kinda out of budget for now....so looking for something cheap around 6-10k....

Plz kindly suggust a best 5.1 in this range to complete a true theatre experience....or should i wait for 2-3 months more to save bucks for z5500(if its really worth it)....

@live4g4 Sorry for hijacking your thread but I wanted to ask this question.

The shopkeepers told me that creative and logitech come with speakers affixed to the subwoofer or woofer. If I break them (split the wires) and separate them then the warranty will be void. The problem is that during renovation of my room I had put audio cables in the walls so that I could just place the speakers at the outlet points and use them. But now I am in a fix. Please help.
 
Logitech X540 do not come with fixed wired to Sub... no idea about Creative ones (I believe T5050 or T6060 something like that).

You can make RCA pin based extension wires for the satellites, if you want them placed far apart. That is what I've done.
 
Heard that Z5500 has too much bass. Check out Onkyo HT-S3200, which is lot lot better when compared to Z5500 and is available for same price. This one comes with huge external amplifier and you will have lot lot connectivity options.
 
G 51 is good @ around 8k`12k.

but there are other speakers apart frm z5500 u should consider @ price point of 10k-15k

My vote: Logitech X-540 Rs. 5.3k + Creative Audigy Value (Sound Card) Rs.1.5k = 6.8k



Second option:

Creative Audigy Value Rs. 1.5k for now

or Xonar DX rs.5k for now

Wait and accumulate cash

Then buy a Good 5.1 speaker set

PS: a Sound card is a must!
 
how about Onkyo HT-S3200. you need not worry about sound card. Use SPDIF passthrough to the external amplifier.
