Hi

I have got 5 pin mouse and keyboard for my old rig. I found that system is not recognizing them now. When I try them in some other machine, they work. If I try USB mouse and keyboard it works on the same machine.

I don't wanna spend much on a new pair. Is it possible to convert them to USB using some cables/adapters? Whats the cheapest solution for this?

Does the following work for system?

eBay India: USB to PS2 Cable for Keyboard and Mouse (item 270377830879 end time 17-Nov-2009 10:24:12 IST)

Thank you so much for quick response. I have a doubt that this will work for PS 2. Will buy one and will try it out.

u can connect a PS/2 keyboard or a mouse to it and to the USB port of ur PC.

thats all.

Not recommended or gaming or high polling rate mouses. You would get only the minimum polling rate of 100 mhz.

The usb to ps/2 converters are easily available in Nehru Place.. & they have 2 ps/2 slots.. so u can connect both..

If u'r not from delhi, u shld check your local computer market & price is generally around 50...
