.

looks like

Seagate HD's are now worthy for Title of

Pathetic IT product

Note:- this Title was earlier held by samsung optical drives with their legendary Unreliability and tray problems .

Way to go Seagate !!!

The world is full of ______ now?
Instead of trying to find out a solution or locate the issue/problem,, on they go brand-bashing. :S

Lulu- PC specs?
PSU model and specs?
Does your psu have a native 5-wire SATA power connector.

Did you try using a different and preferably new sata data cable?

there is no brand bashin , fanboyism here

look what they did to their customers in 7200.11 and mayb now 7200.12 .:@
I am going in market to buy a hard disk .
why should i care which firmware it has ?
y cant it be a good , reliable( maybe a bit slower) , hard disk ?

y make a hard disk which customers have to update firmware with ?
PS--- primary function of hard disk is to store data
speed is desirable but secondary ...

there is no use of a hard disk which is 10 X fast , but unreliable one .

reliability always comes first .
