hi, I'm looking for a refrigerator in the 550-600l capacity range and wanted some help and opinions.
I currently have a 300l 3-door refrigerator which has a large bottom veggie storage that is helping us a lot. I was wondering if I take a 2-door or side-by-side (3 doors are not available in high capacity), will I get similar veggie storage capacity.

As a typical Indian family I dont have a lot of freezer stuff, so I am leaning towards the 2-door rather than side by side. But my biggest concern is vegetable storage.
Second question is the brands:
I'm liking Samsung because of its twin cooling.
And I also like panasonic:

My main question about Panasonic is about after sales service - is it as good as Samsung/LG ?

There are 2 vegetable storage boxes ot the bottom of the Samsung Side By Side one.....but i dont think u can compare to a decent 3 door one with vegetable storage at the bottom. Its a bit cramped and u should personally check it out and decide imho.

Regards

Looks like a decent fridge. How much is it? I'll be in the market for a big fridge soon as well.

In bangalore, Panasonic service is quite good - I have 2 panasonic splits and they came over for a service on time.

I booked a Panasonic 414SS yesterday. I wanted small freezer at the bottom, since we Indians rarely use the freezer expecept for occasional ice/icecream storage. I saw a few Whirpool fridges with a seperate vegetable compartment at the bottom. But I think that will be a lot of backache for the Ladies of the house. I booked the Panasonic specifically for this reason. Plus the water bottle rack is also easily accesible to the kids. The Panasonics have a nice Refrigerator to freezer ratio of 80:20 which is quite perfect for Indian families.

Side Freezer is a huge waste of space. Also the Fridge space is very narrow, you wont be able to fit the usual indian utensils easily. And dont forget the best person to take a decision is the lady of the house a.k.a The BIG BOSS ! :-)
