5800x3D as Replacement for 5600x?

I have an AMD 5600x.

Should I get 5800x3D (as they are cheaper)? or is the jump in gaming performance that much with the new CPUs?

My main reasoning is I don't want to spend upgrading to possibly a EoL platform again (did it with AM4). Do we know how long AM5 will last?

5700x3d performance is equal to 7600 performance and 7600 is cheaper then 5700x3d in price. So think about the price of 5800x3d.
AM5 might last until 2027-28. AM4 is already EOL but will last another year or so I think in sales because already almost everybody who has a budget of 80k and upwards budgets are going with AM5 platform. While some are going with Intel 1700 platform like the 12th, 13th & 14th gen and even this is going to become EOL if Intel can provide good processors next year. This year Intel processors are simply waste as nobody are buying them at all.

If you have a limited budget of 50k then go with AM4 5700x3d or Intel 1700 12th gen or else if you have a budget of 80k and upwards then simply go with tried and tested AM5 platform along with B650 chipset mobos

Where are you getting the 5800X3D from? I am looking for one but only see 5700X3D in local markets.

Speed wise the 7600x is equal to or better. But as far as gaming workload goes 5700x3d and 5800x3d are still relevant. Platform is def end of life but if you do have an am4 it’s one of the best upgrades to swap in a x3d chip. If you’re going for a new build. It’s better to go in for an am5 system

Depends on what your upgrade cost is. If you are sticking to AM4 for next couple of years and can sell off your existing one for a decent price, then it is worth it.

Also, the impact on PCIe generation is not much even for the latest GPUs, so that upgrade makes more sense than moving to a new platform right now, especially as AM5 platform will keep getting cheaper with time.

Personally I would rather pay +/-2K extra and get the 9600X than the 7600X if you are looking to upgrade to AM5.

7600x Zen4 is 19k while 9600x Zen5 is 23.8k
7600x is 105w TDP while 9600x is 65w TDP
Not worth it because of the price.

₹22,539.00 Current price is: ₹22,539.00. (Inclusive of GST)

I don't mind paying the extra cost for better performance that is why i said personally i would get the 9600X. IF there is bank offer then even better or wait for the price to drop during sales.
