Laptops 60k

They usually assign a sales rep to you once you send in your configuration. When you talk to them on the phone, they tend to negotiate quite a bit.

You tell them you have a budget of 55K and go forward from there...

when they call you...tell them u cant spend a paisa more than you budget (say 55K)...and then ask for waiver of taxes n octroi n stuff...
Also they will offer you some warranty n stuff at a discounted price...then u say...u'd rather have something else(wat u really want) at a discounted price..and they usually oblige... :D

I have done it :D :D

Hey akshit, before you buy the laptop can you tell me the price you are being offered? I have a friend who works in dell and most probably can get a better price for you.

Before all this..Are you sure you'd be fine with a 12"er?
12"er is what you call a laptop.. 15/17 is nothing more than a desktop replacement...

@ akshit - Go for the XPS, its a stunning beauty :D

LOL..I guess it about personal preferences..I feel a 12"er is really very small..Though it offers ultra-portability, but then again isn't really as good for multimedia, say watching a flick..
I prefer a 14"er over that..Best of both worlds u see.. :P

^ Well I havent really seen 14"ers around, guess very few companies offer them.

Actually a 15"er is decent enough, unless it crosses 3kgs, but as you said, its a very personal issue :)
