^^The company hasnt even launched quad support for 7950.....If i am not mistaken that is. The second card is just lying idle in his system cause Nvidia need to release proper drivers for Quad SLi support for a 7950...Maybe i might be mistaken.

youre mistaken and....youre mistaken.

and i didnt buy this computer, i won it. i will change the processor if i do well in paris...

I have to mention this, Quad SLI. Seriously if you are considering picking up two of the GX2's, then please don't! Quad SLI is not ready and I'm honestly not sure if it ever will be. We tried most possible software, yet in almost any case the game reverted back to utilizing one GPU, there was one exception, which was the title F.E.A.R and it was showing a good 20% additional performance at a pretty high resolution of 1920x1200. Sure it'd be best to test software on a spanking new 30" 2560x1600 screen .. but realistically ? Who has one let alone can afford it ? Seriously, 20% for another 650 bucks? Come on, no way. Don't bet on Quad SLI as it's a waste of money at this time. NVIDIA knows this and is only selling Quad SLI to system builders.

GeForce 7950 GX2 reference and XFX

Just scroll down, maybe yeah i might be mistaken.:cool2:

If it is a venice and if your mobo and all overclocks, well, if you just overclock your cpu to 2.6ghz or more than as such your cpu shouldn't be that much of a bottleneck for any game, and 6months-1yr down the line you can consider conroe.

ive found alot of difference in games between quad sli and just one 7950. better drivers and stuff will be out soon. its a waste of money at this time, but what about later on? heck, what money ? i didnt spend a penny on this. but does it make a difference? to me? do i have to feel sorry about the fact that i have a quad sli pc ?

:cool2:

youre not mistaken, but why the hell should i care ? hahah

Even then ... if and oc'ed 3000+ CPu could match up with a normal 3800+ CPu then everyone would be doing that anyway .... but i'd say do save some money and get a FX60 is possible .. and then oc that ....

FX 60 is a waste of money.
Amd 64bit 3000 venice can be overclocked even to 2.8ghz, right?
Then it is better than Amd 64bit 4000 or maybe equivalent to X2 4200-4600 in most games.
If you have a lot of money go for Amd Opteron Dual Core 165, enouh for most/all games, if you need more power just overclock it to make it one of the most powerful cpus in the world.
Amd FX60 is maybe 40-70k range and give you a say 10-15% boost on the higher side in some games over Amd Opteron 165 Dual core, complete waste.
