790GX for 8k I think it should be cheaper about 6k I think.

Seriously 6K. Which one?

All i found was Gigabyte @8.5k then MSI @ platinum version 9.9k. Biostar got Nice 790gx's for ~100$ range but not yet available here.

Man I was nearly all set for Gigabyte 790gx and Phenom X3 8750 BE / Phenom X4 9850 BE when Nvidia dropped its 9300 chipset bomb.
Now its time to do some more comparisons.

Which is better Nvidia 9300 + Q6600 or AMD 790gx + Phenom X4 9850 BE on price/performance, Knowing that there is no scope of upgradibility on the intel side as Corei7 based proc are already out.

yeah... 730i has the 9300. Where do you intend to get an 8750 BE btw? I've looked all over... no one seems to have it. Not even the non BE 8750. Damn frustrating - you can buy 8450/8650/9550/9650/9750/9850BE/9950BE in India, but an 8750 BE cannot be had for love or for money.

btw,
found something you might want to see. The 9300/9400 barely outperforms the 790GX in a few tests, and in others the 790GX dances all over the 9300/9400. Moreover, the 730i has the advantage of running an intel cpu as against the slower phenoms for the 790GX. All in all, the 730i is the best integrated gfx platform for intel, but certainly not the best overall.

Yes I agree with u on this but 790GX has few advantages

1. 730i Chipset is a low segment board. U'll never find it in High-end quality
whereas 790Gx is for the enthusiast with all the latest featutes
2. Second one is all the AM+ chipset boards will be compatible with AM3 procs (with some limitations offcourse). Same cannot be said for Nahelm and this chipset. In other words there is no scope of Upgrading on this board.
3.A small advantagei is Crossfire. Though most of the buying this will not be using it but still, there is a scope of upgradation here as well.
4.AFIK most of the Nvidia chipset are buggy and tend to run hot. AMD chipset are a bit more stable. (Thats what I think. Maybe this Chipst has made me into a AMD fanboy :ohyeah: ).

Please feel free to chalange me on any of these. May be u'll open my eyes :!

For 8750 BE : If will not find it anywhwre I intend to get from KMD.:hap2:

I agree with all of that... I'm looking for that combo myself. The darn problem is that with the 8750BE being unavailable, KMD is the only way out. I'd asked him for a quote. He quoted 16.3k + shipping for two... That comes out to around 8.3k each. You can get a 9850BE for about 1k more locally - so just 1k more gets you 100MHz more and an extra core. *sigh*

Lets gather a bunch of 10-15 people who want 8750s and get a fabulous GO from KMD lol :P
