hey ppl..don get too excited after u've read d title:bleh: ....i was wonderin wen this would happen...cos im plannin 2 buy 8600 gt in november...but wat if 9 series cards release in december...den :( ...is der any chance ?anyone knows wen dese cards will be released?

the 9800 card will launch prolly this holiday season or early 2008 dont know its just a guess i think if u can wait till november then better of get a 8800 320mb its 3 times faster than th 8600GT
 
its 2 1/2 times costlier than 8600gt as well, no point recommending a 8800GTS to a buyer of 8600gt...8600gt is a good card and is capable of playing all the released games @ atleast 1200x768 resolution with high settings. See the 9 series wud be damn costly even if its released in December, its just that if you wait till December then most probably there will be a good price cut for the 8600GT.

No comparison between the two....8800GTS is a damn value for money as compared to other cards and much much powerful than 8600GT...but there is a huge price difference attached to it as well, basically these 2 cards are for 2 different consumer segment...Its more like suggesting a Maruti SX to someone buying an Alto.
 
^^^8series'd still be on the horizon... 7 series phasin out.. 9series catchin up fer the enthusiasts...

But 2 8600GTs wud be a waste.. I'm damn sure even if u plan to buy it in nov, u wudn coz ther may be a better card fer the price.. Sli's a waste(jus fer a few fps more no point in investin unless u're some Fata1ity or shamino!!! :P)
Power hungry monsters... M against them... anytime...
 
ok does g92 or g98 support u motherboard or not:P

it support only pci-express 2.0 x38 only :bleh:

u must update u new rig :P
