ok hey guys new to the forum just wanted to ask a few question after long thinking ive come to the conclusion of buying a 9800gt or gts 250 graphic card but since i live in india i dont have alot of choices therefore very limited and newegg or amazon dont ship here anyway my question are as follows if possible please answer me question wise

1. Is it worth getting a GTS 250 over a 9800gt because i will not play above 1440x900 resolution as i have a 19 inch

2.i have a HP A6450IN >> THOSE WERE the product specifications these are the motherboard info >>Motherboard Specifications, MCP73M01H1 (Napa) 9&lang=enhttp://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01412860&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=370744 9&lang=en[/url] ok now i just wanted to know if the gts 250 or the 9800gt will fit in my case as both cards are approximately 9 inches or 23 cm as it says the motherboard is 9.6 inches so does that mean it will fit ??

3. just wanted to know if i have to install the gts 250 which is a dual slot as seen from my motherboard picture will this cause any problem as i dont have anything occupying the pci slot or the express x 1 so is there any problem installing the gts 250

4. IF I Game on a 37 inch full hdtv will a 1 gb of either the 9800gt ot the gts 250 come in handy

5.now i know the various modes of connecting a card to the tv but for example is it worth getting a hdmi cable over a vga cable for gaming on my big screen??

!!PLEASE ANSWER QUESTION WISE!!

1. Yes, GTS 250 is noticiable faster.

2. Yes, Both cards are 9" in length.

3. CMOS and 1 PCIe x1 slot will be blocked.

4. U should invest in 4870 or above for full HD gaming.

Also, since you haven't specified your PSU, it might be worth taking a look at the HD 4770 as well.
All 3 cards should keep you happy at 1440x900.

please mention the PSU (Power Supply Unit / SMPS) you are planning to use along the required Graphics Card.

For your requirement: (mostly 1440x900 and sometimes full HD 1920x1080):

HD4850 512 HDMI is the best card (Blistering Performance and Best Value for Money)

Look no further :hap2:

PS: Make sure you have a Good PSU (upwards of Rs. 3k) incase you wish to run any good graphics card else you may end up losing HDDs or your new graphics card.

What's with this upwards of 3k thing? So that rules out the Gigabyte Superb 460, the Zeronics Pro Power 350/550W etc? Please stop giving such suggestions!

^ i think he tries to convince quality with price. anyway.. I highly doubt his HP branded wala pc has a good psu, as HP usually put PSU as per specs..

HD4670/9600GT are the other options then..

man u started two threads with same issue in techpowerup...nice

for 22" u need a 8800gt....gr8 card ......

+1 to this...:hap2:

and also if you plan to buy either of these cards, the 1GB versions will not show a significant increase in performance so it would be better value to get the 512MB versions :)
