Graphic Cards 9800GX2: Indian prices

According to a website www.priceguru.co.in, MSI will sell its 9800GX2 @ 45K while XFX is pricing 9800GX2 @ 45.99K. XFX will also sell 790i Ultra @ 23K

IMO, Price Guru's quotes are always at higher side, most probably cultivated from the MRP printed on the box. Market price for all three items will be definitely a little lower than this.

Even then we can be sure of one thing: Both 790i mobos and 9800GX2 are going to be damn expensive.

By the way $600+duty+shipping+blah blah should be not more than 35K. So, 9800GX2 prices are plain rip-off. (as if i am going to buy one :P )

Actually all the new cards are quite the dogs at severe resolutions (like mine, heh). Very disappointing.

I'm thinking no high-end stuff for me this year, maybe just 9600GT SLI to tide me over till the really good cards arrive in H2 08 or Q1 09. 512MB memory on these cards can't drive a 4 megapixel display, no way. I'm not about to spend that kind of money on a card to game at 40fps. No sir.
 
^^I'm thinking the same. Get the 790i and make do with my 7900s (790i cos have 2 change my board).

no no, what i meant was that the price for ATI card is still ok and somewhat reasonable, but the Nvidia card price is too high.
 
yep.........well this is just sum rough pricing i got, hoping it to be lesser actually, coz at this price, the 3870x2 becomes a steal, and the 9800GX2 a waste of money

Coz a card at around 22k is still not uber high end. What funky said is true sadly, distries milk the high end. All the top end cards, like 7800 gtx, 7900 gtx and 8800 gtx were 35k plus when they launched, while comparatively the 7800 gt, 7900 gt, 8800 gts n other cards were priced much less

Is there an A12 of the 3870x2 coming ...or better still lets wait for 4870x2 :ohyeah: . If ATi continues the pricing strategy its going to be real fun

what does it mean...do i get to host a WOW(or any other game) server for 3 months ...??

Which gamer...brings home a 45k card...and says.."YEa i get to host a server for the world for the next 3 months for free.....YEa !"

Why can't they just bundle a good game...which the gamer might be able to play and experience the POWA ! of this amazing card.

Guyz after a long time ..I have seen a card worth its asking price...atleast in the looks dept....I just love the engineering that has gone behind the cooling
 
To add to the salt is the huge Import tax which is not added in the online $$ pricing..
tax @ 12%

450$+ Tax in INR+ Dealer profit = price

3870X2 is Quite reasonable:hap2:

9800X2 NO WAY:@
