i've lost touch with the mobo's for amd cpu's and different sockets..

i dont think i will b able to squeeze in PII 720...cpu alone costs 7500...with BIostar el cheapo one costing 5800....and i need a 650VA APC UPS and a dell 19 inch LCD..so PII is out..

i will go with Kuma 7750 BE for 3.5k..HD will b 500GB HD....1X2GB ram..bijli Cabbie....700rs for Mouse and KB..i have doubts regarding Mobo and GFX solution...instead of going in with 780G/790GX i feel going for 760g/740 with a low end gfx card is good...but..generic smps may b the issue with that...can u guys please come up with a rig for 30K..if u can fit in a decent smps(approx 1.5-1.8k fine with it)..please specify the mobo's model...as i said not in touch with AMD's mobos these days..Thanx in advance..no speakers needed...

Get these

AMD 7750/7850 BE 3.5k

Gigabyte 740G mobo should be ard 3.5k

Corsair CX400 SMPS=3.2k approx

Transcend DDR2 800Mhz RAM= 2.2k

MSI 4770= 6.5k

Monitor 19" E1909 Dell -6.8k

500Gb seagate - 2.9k

Bijli cabby- 1.4

30K approx

bro...u have missed the ups costing 3.2k...mouse and KB..theres no dvd drive..and i feel that 3.2k smps and 6.5k gfx card is bit of an overkill for my needs..this rig needs some fine tuning coz of the generic smps issue,..

^^ I would advise u to spend on good SMPS...if u r not into gaming then get MSI 4350 for 2.2k (6.5-2.2=4.3k), so spend 4.3k in APC UPS(2.2k) and rest in optical drive(1k) and in KB+Mouse =.5k

This is w/o monitor right?
Okay, now, my suggestion is, If you have 10k more to spend, THEN go for AMD, the Phenom II 720BE x3, and a build based around that.
BUT,
If you are on a 30k budget, go Intel:-
Gigabyte G31M ES2L 2.400
Intel E5200 3,500
G.Skill Pi Black 2x2GB 800Mhz RAM @CL4 3,600
Samsung Combo Drive 1,100
Corsair VX450 PSU 4,000
HD 4770/HD 4670 6,500/4,500
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB single platter 3,000
OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU cooler 2,600
CM Elite cabinet 2,200

(** Optional alternatives that can be used to spend surplus budget, if any)
Total= With the base choices it comes up to about 25,000, Spend the remaining 5 grand on a better CPU, GPU, or cabinet and/or accesories(treat yourself to a Razer Deathadder and a nice keyboard), OR, just pocket the cash.
As the way it is now with hardware purchases, Intel dominates the high and low end range of systems in terms of maximum performance from the word go, AMD however, has a firm and well deserved foot-hold on the sweet spot in the middle.

EDIT: If the rig budget includes a monitor/input devices, leave out the CPU cooler for now and with the 5k leftover, get yourself a 17inch LCD(don't go higher on this budget, you really will end up compromising on something rather important) and a basic key and mouse combo/optical drive. Another option is to go for regular Transcend 2x2GB 800Mhz ram, saving 1.5k or so there, but try not to if you can. Yet another option is to leave the 4770 out in favour of the 4670, if you do that, you can go for the corsair CX400/CM 460 and save another 1-2k.

Something just occured to me, you haven't mentioned the primary use of this computer. Gaming build = my default.

PS: I originally wrote this post excluding the monitor from the budget, but i have added plenty of choices, see what you can make out from it, and specify exactly what you want and why, i'll have 1 more go at suggesting a build.

Processor= AMD Phenom X4 9650 Quad-Core = 6.8~K

Motherboard = Gigabyte GA-MA78GPM-DS2H =6.2~k

GPU = XFX Geforce 9600GT 512MB = 6.5~k

RAM = Transend 2x2GB 800Mhz = 2.5~k

HDD = Seaget 500Gb = 3~k

Cabinet = zebronic Bijli = 1~k

Powersupply = CoolerMaster RS460-PCARA3-EU = 2.6~k

KeyBoard & Mouse = Microsoft MM set = 0.6~k

LCD = Viewsonic 17'' = 6~k

Total = 32.6~k

I think is Quite above your Budget But Seriously its BEST config.

Invest more & Get more(I mean Good) is Truth :cool2:

Processor: AMD X2 7750+ 3.5k
Motherboard: Biostar TA790GXB 4.5k
(you can even go for intel E5200+Gigabyte G31 for 6K and save a whole 3K.. There wont be much of a performance difference and you can OC ur proccy later:D )
RAM: Transcend 2x2GB DDR2 800MHz 2.2k
GPU: Palit HD 4670 4.2K
HDD: Seagate 500GB SATAII 3k
Cabinet: Zebronics Bijli ATX 1.1k
SMPS: Zebronics Real Power 360W 1.5k(or better Cooler Master 390W at 1.8K)
Optical Drive: L.G. /Samsung SATA 1.1k
Monitor: Viewsonic 19" LCD 6.5k
Keyboard+Mouse:.7K
UPS: APC 650VA 3.1K

So at ~31K i think this should suffice ur requirements...:hap2:
If u want to reduce the budget go for cheaper mobo but i would recommend u to stick with this one for future upgrades and this zebby SMPS is enough to power ur GPU....:ohyeah: IMO i would advise u to go with the Intel setup....

+1 - good one :hap2:

I suggest u go for 720 over X2 7750 BE, It wont last a year bfr becoming a major bottle neck.
PSU VX450--------->dont save on this 3.5k~
Cabinet Bijli 1.5
7750 BE 3.5k
biostar 790gx A2+ 4.5k
Ram 2 X 1 GB 1.25~1.5k
Hard disk 500gb 2.8k
Samsung 22" or banQ 22"(if quality dosent matter) 10.8k
GPU (i suggest u wait sometime (save money)and take HD 4770)

or HD 4670 for now 4.5k

Slightly out of budget, but dont Compromise on PSU. Why?

All coming proccys and GPU will easily consume 200w each
so anyway u will have to upgrade to this(minimum) in the future. So why not now?
Recommended upgrades over this config( 720BE In another year or so+ HD 4870/HD 4770; prices will come down)

And Go for AMD rig if uare an AMD user, u can upgrade easily without changing platform.

I would say the following

AMD Phonem II X3 720 - 8k

Gigabyte 780G mobo - 4k

2GB DDR2 RAM - 1.2k

ATI 4670 gfx - 4.2k

19" LCD - 6.5k

Keyboard + Mouse - 600

500GB HDD - 3k

Zebronics Bizli + CM 390W - 2.7k

Just about 32k... :)

With UPS goes to 35k

Ideal rig in that budget + you can cut down on gfx card if not into gaming!!

thanx guys for the inputs...especially icefusion and karthi....i'll read the reviews and come up with a rig by this weekend...and will post the prices and images....thanx again..
