A clock with 64 seconds per minute

I wonder how hard it would be to make. Would require a radio that broadcast at some low khz frequency. This would need to access a time server on the internet. It will be a stationary application as clocks don't go walk about.

A Pi that connected through wifi and had a radio transmitter.

Then some sort of mod on the clocks that understood that frequency and adjusted them.

The best thing about this old school radio sync is how low the frequency is.

60-70khz will penetrate anything and is also battery friendly unlike GPS.

Nothing advanced about this tech. It's been in place for decades and is very efficient.

With the title and the first few lines of your OP, I thought you were building up to actually wanting a 64s per minute clock for some eccentric reason.

Theoretically, it would be easier to make a digital clock system with 64 seconds per minute, 64 minutes per hour and 16 or 32 hours a day because these are all binary numbers. But then the units - second, minute and hour - will have different lengths from what they are now.

But you want analog i thought. I ended up with analog because i could not find any decent larger digital displays. That could be read from across the room.

Yes, I want analog for this application. My remark about making a purely binary clock was just idle theoretical speculation. It's not practical as it would involve changing the universal time system.

One of the clocks I mentioned earlier is a Casio digital wall clock with 2.25-inch-high digits. It's easily readable across a room. Unfortunately, we're renovating the room it normally hangs in and I couldn't take a photo in that position. The monitor in the background is a 27-inch model, so that will give you a good idea of the clock's size.

Personally, I prefer analog clocks for telling time. This Casio digital is more of a decorative piece. I also have a 14-inch analog in the same room.
