After spending quite some time on TE, specially the Members Market section, thought its time I posted a light-hearted thread on some of the terms I often see on various threads there, so here goes :

Thought I will start out with Practical Translations and Interpretations of
What They Say : What They Mean

# "Cant remember the Purchase Date" : "I bought it so long back, I feel ashamed to mention the date"

# "Dont crap this thread" : "I know you can get it for a better price elsewhere, but dont you dare mention it here"

# "Just opened it for testing" : "I used it non-stop for the first 72 hours after getting it, with just food and toilet breaks, till it almost broke down"

# "Hardly used/sparingly used/barely used" : "It has been used so much, you can barely recognise it anymore"

# "Freshly RMAd" : "I broke it due to misuse first time round, now its your turn"

# "Dont have bill" : "Purchase date is so old, cant let you see the bill"

# "Negotiations only through PM route" : "I know I am going to come down drastically in price, dont want everyone to see it together"

# "Price is not negotiable" : "I know there is someone silly out there who wants this desperately"

# "Selling on behalf of a friend" : "This product is on the verge of breaking down, so you can blame my elusive friend later instead of me"

# "Reason for sale is that I don't need it anymore" : "After having used it extensively, I realize I was silly to buy it in the first place"

# "Dont hesitate to ask any questions" : "I have purposely withheld information so that each time you ask a question, I get bumps to the top"

# "Buy with Confidence" : "Ignore that low iTrust rating I have"

# "Dont know about warranty remaining" : "No warranty left, but you can find that for yourself AFTER purchasing the product"
I repeat, this is just a humorous crack to bring a smile on the faces of regular TE users, and not to be taken seriously.(Now what could be the practical interpretation of this sentence? ;) )

If members like this thread and give feedback, I will post some more.

Nice effort. :)

# Using [IC]/[GO] Instead of Dealer's Thread : Let the mods lock the thread. By the time that happens, i wd have caught enough fish via PM that i dont need a dealer's license for a fee. Thread remains visible anyways.. So Yipeee ..!!

# "Pics will be uploaded soon": Let the interested people use PM and when the thread is locked by a mod, it wd have been a done deal.

Glad its being liked. I am sure the sellers will understand that its all in good fun. I am a seller myself and have often used these same terms in my own threads :)

"Never OC'ed" -- I burnt the skin off the part.

"Mild OC to 2.9Ghz" -- Never knew what I was doing so only reached 2.9Ghz on extreme vCores.
