I'll be travelling to mumbai for 4 days, and am looking for cheap budget hotels in mumbai where i can stay. As i would be out the whole day, i only need to keep my luggage there and come back at night to sleep. So dont wanna spend too much.

Kindly suggest me some good budget hotels (Ac rooms please :P). Preferebly somewhere in south mumbai.

Thanks in advance.

How about the idea of staying at a hotel on Lamington Road? :P

I had gone to Mumbai a couple of weeks back for an interview (my first visit) and very similar to you, just needed a place to dump the bag and to sleep at night.

Check out Hotel Kumkum (funny name I know)..Not the best place to be..But at 950/- a room (A/C , TV, Room Service) is just fine.I'll PM you the address and contact no. in case you need it.

Cheers!

Your going to love this one....

When people ask me for a budget hotel - clean and neat and down south Mumbai I always suggest the "YWCA International Guest House" which is next to the Museum and Regal Cinema. It is called YWCA but it is also for MEN :) This is very centrally located with lots of restaurants close by and it is around the corner from Taj Mahal Hotel if you want a fancy meal. I have no idea about the rates of this place but it should be reasonable like all YMCA and YWCA normally are. Maybe YMCA Delhi will be able to get you the rates and also a reservation in case you decide on it.

If you want a Google map of its location just ask.....

hmm.. thanks for the suggestiong AMD4life, kindly pm me the address and contact no. asap... :)

Eazy i know abt YMCA place, but they dont have AC's and without AC in mumbai... :P

I mentioned the YWCA International guest house - this is not a regular YMCA - it is actually run like a hotel. THIS IS THE "YOUNG WOMENS C... A..." :ohyeah: I used to work for Cox & Kings for many years and we used to book our budget travellers here and everyone who stayed there always had nice things to say about it. But it has been many years since my job in the travel trade so things may have changed

here found this...... even the dining room has an A/C !!! :D

YWCA of Bombay: Our Services: YWCA International Center, Mumbai: International Guest House

Arre Ice, you are coming from Delhi.... any place should be automatically air conditioned for you

heh.. :P

Heard its equally hot in mumbai if its not raining ;)

@ eazy thnx bro.. will keep this as a backup in case hotel kumkum has some issues... :)
