can you justify why you have termed Palit as a crap brand.I hope u have some real strong points to support your claim, coz as far as i know its in the same league as XFX etc. and is better in terms of VFM. Have been using it extensively and haven had one problem yet.

@ mjumrani - get the money. would be wiser since you can take a more independent decision once a fair bit of reviews are out.
 
ive read all the legitimate reviews and your opinions and have decided that ill try to get 5870 (sadly the powercolor one) one way or the other.

ill update you guys. i might even think abt getting another 5870 n going the CF way :P

this is the first time ive thought about getting ATI. mostly im a nvidia guy but i dunno wen fermi is gonna b launched....

You talk to them tell them instead of giving Credit Note to you ask them to give credit note to me.

Then i can buy stuff worth that much amount from them for free and you can buy watver you want from me 5870 or watver u want to.

Just call them tomm and see wat they say i guess they shld agree to this.

Take this oppurtunity dude.. now u dont have to buy 5870 if you dont want to...

2.) they send the card to EVGA europe, and i get a credit note from EVGA/tirupati which would be around 25k INR. so i can get anything from tirupati for tht amount.

i just dunno what to do here. i mean should i get a palit card, or do i take the money n invest somewhere else.

please help!!!

If your card will still be in warranty, w8 for the GT300 and the 295 to vanish !! Hope they give a free upgrade !!(may happen if you send it to evga)
 
no im not on anandtech.

i cant wait for gt300. i dunno when its coming. i dont have enuf patience. there r games i have to play n no graphics card...
 
get a palit 295...anyway t will have warranty so why are u worried. if it borks out after a year or so u will probably get a 300 series GPU then//

Dude! Where did I say an ips panel is bad? Didn't you get my point? I was telling you at that resolution, the full potential of 5870 will never be utilised. Anyway it's your money, you can get whatever you want.
 
16.5k. no idea about its current price, but i think last i heard it had increased n was out of stock in most places
 
Hmm that doesnt sound too bad ..... but i guess id want to see one in action before i consider getting one.
