Lately I have planning to dive into the world of functional programming but I have no idea what is this all about. (I am starting from googling 'what is functional programming'

So from where shall I start? Any recommended book/site or video tuts or else?
Also, my target is to learn some language and be able to state in my resume. (long shot - but I want to give it a try
)
So among the various languages (Haskell, Scala, Erlang, F#, Lisp etc etc) which shall have better prospect?
Any pointer would be much appreciated.
