Hi guys, I am going to a new laptop probably from Nehru Place, this friday. I have always done all my computer hardware related shopping from usually Wazirpur computer market or somewhere else but this time I am going to Nehru Place.
I want to know which are the best shops in Nehru Place for laptops and all, where is that I can find the cheapest price for my laptop as I have some budget constraints. Plus, is that the same price rules over all the shops of the market or does it differ from shop to shop?
I am planning to buy HP G6 2005ax so if you guys know any place in Delhi apart form Nehru Place, from where I can get it at a really cheap price then please do share.

For branded laptops, try calling up a couple of authorized dealers first and see who offers you the best discount. The dealer doesn't necessarily have to be in Nehru Place. Be careful of buying an imported one which carries no warranty in India.

Can I get the numbers of some good authorized dealers? I hardly know any. I am very new at all this.

Secondly how would I get to know if they are selling me imported ones or not?

Dude, you can get the numbers for the dealers at HP India website. Also when on the website, check out the models being offered by HP and then try and shortlist the one you want from amongst them. Talk to the dealer about that particular model. If you end up buying from an authorized dealer, you would most probably get the genuine stuff. When you go to pick it up, check out the outer packaging, it should have a sticker giving import date and year and also a MRP in INR. Insist on a properly stamped warranty card and an original invoice mentioning the serial number of the laptop and the date of purchase.

I just bought the laptop but I realised that I was not provided with a warranty card, neither was it in the packet. What should I do now?

I just had a talk with the sales guy who sold me this laptop and he is saying that I will get the warranty along with the bill, is he right or do we get a warranty card separately?
