Laptops Acer 4736,4736z,5738 get new specs!!!!

Has Acer released 4736,4736z,5738 with new specs. Is it available in the market already? If so please post the prices.
4736Z-
Old Proccy:T-4200
New Proccy:T-4300

4736-
Old Proccy:T-6400
New Proccy:T-6600

5738-
Old Proccy:T-6400
New Proccy:T-6500

I found these changes in the acer website.
Plus i was never able to find any website quoting upto date laptop models and prices. if there is some website which gives a detail pricing list of latest lappies pls do post the link.
 
i have installed the windows 7 in my 4736z. but what are settings or drivers to start using smart power saver button?? by pressing the button its LED is not glowing.
 
yeah...the T6400 proccys have been discontinued as i hav been told by a retailer...so new ones will have T6500 or T6600 proccys...prices havent changed as i was told...or maybe a couple of hundreds here and thr..
 
now the DDR3 is gone and DDR2 is back....but its not going to make a difference, but T6600 from T6400 processor will make an in speed...
 
Acer is seriously shortchanging India.

First it launched a tamed down model of its 5739G, without a BR-Rom and GT130M, instead, pushing it with some ATI chip.

Secondly, it didn't launch the Dual Core based Timeline series of Laptops here...all of the Timelines launched here had the pathetic Single Cores.

People should boycott buying Acer untill it stops treating Indian customers as beggars.
 
^ but this range sells well in India, you can pick up a very decent laptop for 25-27k compared to other vendors, sure some quality is cheap but u get what you pay for. I for one have seen many folks asking laptop under 30k .

Even Lenova and Samsung are having budget laptops under 30k..donno why all people are recommending Acer in budget segment...:huh:
 
I dont think this has been discussed before but potential buyers do note, the T4200/4300 do not support virtualization so take that into account while buying.

If u do need virtualization then go for the T6600/6500.

Also the GL40 chipset used in the 4736z/5738z does not support full hardware decoding of HD videos while the GM45 used in thee 4736/5738 does. Consider this also if it matters to you tho i think Virtualization is a bigger deal breaker
 
hey im jus ordering an acer online,

now a primary purpose of this lappy would be to attach to the the tv an watch hd movies off hdmi cable. now my question is since the screen reso of the lappy is 1366X7xx would it still play 1080i/p movies on the tv or would it be downscaled to the lappy screen reso?

waiting for a quick response, need to order in a couple of hours max!

Not much of a change. Dell already upgraded all of their T6400 to T6600 long back and so did HP. Only advantage of this is T6400 is not capable of virtualization while T6600 is. So now one can use the XP mode of Windows 7 :)
