Laptops ACER ASPIRE 4310 screen turns white

Two of my friends have ACER ASPIRE 4310 one with XP and the other with VISTA... In the last few months they have a strange problem... The screen turns white but everything in background is fine... If the system is put in standby and then again waken up the screen again is fine... The service center guy says may be some kinda virus... Formatted the OS but the problem still persists... I suspect a screen problem... Is this a inherent problem of this model??? Shed some light on this plz....
 
yeah, acer have poor quality, this had happened in my office with one of the colleagues laptop. his screen used to turn fully white when he used to resume from standby or when turning on the lid.

the IT department took it to service centre and got it repaired :P

only thing i can say is take it to service centre.

not if the systems are under warranty. And it could be something other than the screen as well, go get it checked.
 
I had the same problem about 1 and a half yr ago.. something was loose on the cable connector of the lcd.. well i had it fixed for free because of the warranty.. i think the service for this particular problem won't be expensive since no part will be replaced.. i disagree that acer laptops have low quality.. it all depends on the user.. my acer aspire 4310 is 2 yrs old, 1.5 hr batt life with background apps running, and it can run vista smoothly with aero on.. there are also some pretty heavy software installed on my laptop like matlab, vmware, css, ansoft but it runs them nicely.. my display is also very clear that is comparable or maybe better to other expensive laptops.;)
 
please get the computer technician to check the screen connection. if the problem persist please change the 14.1" crystal bright screen to normal screen. the screen drawn too much power which make it to blink or white screen,simply no compatible with the display card i mean this so call crystal bright screen.

Acer Aspire 4310 after almost one year old mostly will have this problem. the speed of the processor and the disply card and screen no match.
problem was due to the Acer design.
