Acer Liquid Metal

Hello all, I'm looking to buy a 20k smartphone and came across the Acer Liquid metal retailing for 19.7k on the univercell website. This forum doesnt have any info on this mobile and nobody seems to recommend it in the 20k bracket. I have only seen the Samsung Galaxy SL being recommened though spec wise it is inferior to the Acer in almost all aspects expect screen size (3.6 on Acer vs 4 on samsung). It runs comparable processors afaik and has a much better gpu (Adreno 205) and 5 mp AF camera with flash among other things.
I'd like to know feedback about this phone from anybody who has purchased it. As far as i know it isnt available in croma in bangalore but i havent tried acer mall or any other store so i havent had a chance to try it out.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks. :)

Acer Liquid Metal Review - Performance and Conclusion - Phone Arena

Cam not great according to phonearena. Plus as vercetti says service n/w is not great in India according to member reviews.

Hold on for the Xperia Neo if possible. Pre order price in India is ~25k whereas in Europe is ~22k!!!!

Might very well end up @22k at launch in India. (Will launch in 20-30 days)

Also with VAT the Metal comes to 20.5k in Univercell and also unavailable for online purchase according to the site

I've owned a couple of acer laptops and the ASS, as so eloquently put, wasnt half bad. Is it very different for smartphones? Theres tons of service centres here with one very close to home.

@DarkAngel : The camera seems to have improved after a firmware upgrade. The review you have quoted was done earlier this year. The newer reviews dont seem to have any cam issues.

The neo is above my price bracket and it will take a while for the price to drop. I need a phone in two weeks time at least. 20k itself was a stretch and i was almost set on getting the galaxy SL when i saw this. The other option is the moto defy but its still stuck on eclair and seems inferior spec wise.

What attracted me to this phone was the gpu. Essentially 1k more than the galaxy for a much better gpu.

Thanks for the link RS4.

Hmmm. Better specs vs sucky customer care. I guess this makes the samsung seem like the more sensible option. Thoroughly confused now!

There just arent any easy decisions are there?
