ACT Fibernet silently cuts FUP from 3300GB to 1500GB

Even with top tier private tracker, you'll never achieve 1 gbps speed and have to wait the same amount as anyone on 300 mbps connection. Thts y i said, 1 gbps connection doesnt exist outside your ISP network and I'd categorize anything more than 500 mbps plan a SCAM !!

My calculation based on my previous Gigabit internet usage is that, you're averaging out at 300 mbps on the internet. You may achieve higher speed when you download say For ex: linux ISO/Software/Games hosted in CDN but other than that, no chance.

I'm not challenging anyone here, just wanted to see if we can achieve the high speed as advertised or such use cases so please share some screenshots/video if you can
you clearly haven't used either usenet or seedboxes, I easily go gigabit+ on my seedbox both with torrents and usenet depending on disk usage on my shared slot, I haven't taken any screenshots but I'll take one for you

I hope you are talking about the network speed between your PC/ISP & the seedbox right ? Please do share the screenshot here.

Many file hosting sites premium subscriptions & even some seedboxes do use CDN. Even without that, achieving 500mbps should be easy using top tier torrent trackers (many of the seeders being already on seedboxes in EU) &/or premium subscriptions of major file hosting sites/usenet.

You can do the speedtest using network tools link at the bottom of ultra.cc ,it uses cdn so whatever your connection max speed it should be able to achieve it or at least get 500mbps+ speeds for a server located inside EU which is already pretty good.

I don't have gigabit internet, but anyone having gigabit can easily saturate both usenet and torrents
No not from India via our Indian ISP. Thts my point from the beginning.
I dont want to know if your seedbox hosted in Ireland/Switzerland can achieve 1 gbps, but the speed between your Indian ISP and the internet. You could literally download 100 torrents at the same time and you will never saturate 1 gbps speeds at all.

See my above reply especially the ultra.cc part.

I already said it, CDN hosting offer better speeds. Steam games downloads offer 1 gbps and above on a good day. All streaming services offer higher bandwidth via CDN and many more hosting uses CDN.

Seedboxes offers very high speeds and you wont get the same speed when you try to transfer all that data back to your PC esp 1 gbps. Also why you pay for seedbox hosted somewhere to download all the data faster when you pay a premium for 1 gbps internet urself, no ISP in india is going to come after you for piracy anyway.

No its like your washing machine can only clean 1 pair of clothes while advertising 10 at the same time.

1 Giga speed you will never achieve and the right person/use case do not exist. The only time you'll ever accomplish 1 Giga is when you ping ACT Fibernet on Speedtest. Your advertised speed ends with ACT network. Once the packet leaves the ACT Network, ACT Giga plan doesnt have any impact on the speed of your packet and you get the same speed/latency/routing as everyone else. Anyone who uses 300-500mbps will have the same speed/latency/routing as you on the internet.

You're paying for eyecandy number that has no real world impact on your experience !! Prove me wrong !!

Huh? I saturate my gigabit connection when downloading from Alldebrid servers. Pretty sure they don't have CDNs in India!

I also saturate private tracker downloads at near gigabit speeds. Depends on age of torrent, seeders etc, but it's fairly easy for new or popular torrents.
Will post screenshots next week.

It's like saying entire washing machines are a scam bcz you only have 1 pair of clothes. I agree with some of what u said. But such plans are good for the right person who has relevant and appropriate use for such a bandwidth. For regular crowd it's overkill.

It's great that we have variety of plans in different speeds. The real scam is getting only 70–90% speed of any plan, and the company's argument is 'upto' in their description.
100% Agree. That and that they call the plan "unlimited" but it's not really unlimited especially if you consider how fast you can hit FUP limit on faster speed such as on 1gigabit.

I am not sure but to be clear, ultra.cc seedbox use CDN service to deliver stuff to your home pc in India. You use seedbox as Indian because that is the only way you can survive on good pvt torrent trackers.

Actually they do :)

There is no truly unlimited retail plan anywhere in the world. Only difference is, some ISPs mention it beforehand while some only take up this issue when your connection usage start affecting the performance of entire locality which practically never happens in developed nations. For typical users I think 5TB FUP is more than enough which anyway will be very hard to cross using "legal means" of watching tv shows/movies etc.

I think nobody is giving 5tb FUP in India no? Most of these companies are either 3.3TB or 1.5TB.

no, I was wondering who is giving such a cap in India...For most of the people, this 3.3tb is sufficient.
Haha, no mainstream provider gives this cap (I could be wrong), it was just being generalized that 4-5 TB would be the extreme use-case scenario, keeping cap limits aside.

Seedbox are additional cost on top of premium you pay for your gigabit connection, no idea if they all saturate your gigabit connection as well.

My personal experience torrenting from my PC directly on 1 gbps, never came close to that speed on any private trackers i used, so moved back to lesser speeds.

Because they know nobody will be able to hit the limit on their slow network
They ain't slow by any means. I have been using Bharat Fiber as my secondary connection for over 3 yrs now. Haven't faced a single issue till date. As a matter of fact the experience on BSNL has been far better than most other ISPs. They offer more speed than advertised.

This is not BSNL of the past, The upgraded Fiber network is stable and reliable, I suggest you stop spreading misinformation
