PC Peripherals add additonal battery ?

Hi fellas, Just wanted to know if there's any way to add extra Tubular battery on my Home UPS 850VA Sine inverter ? can't they be set in parallel or serial connection ? please help if its possible then how ?

If it is possible, then it will only be done in parallel as the voltages remain the same, but should take more time to charge as current is divided.

You can connect it in parallel,the charging time may be longer.
Also if the existing battery is really old or has had multiple deep discharges ,then its not recommended to a mix a new battery with a old one.
