Hi Folks,

Would be great if you could help me with configuring a build without GPU and Storage.
Mainly, I am looking to game on a 4k TV (which I will be buying separately).
I don't care much about the aesthetics and mainly care about the performance.

I plan to buy RTX 5070ti / RX 9070 XT in coming months.

I have configured an initial build for now, open to suggestions, especially if I am missing something or overspending on any parts. In terms of CPU I am thinking of getting 7600 or 7600X3D (if it comes in stock, as per pcstudio, it will come in march).
  • What is your budget?
    • Around 65k (can increase if makes sense)
  • Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
    • GPU - RX 6600 for now (till the time new GPUs are in stock at right price)
    • Storage
    • Peripherals
    • Monitor
  • Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
    • Current plan:-

  • Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component
    • Yes, will upgrade the following:
    • CPU:- Might upgrade to a X3D processor down the line if needed
    • GPU:- RTX 5070 Ti / RX 9070 XT once they are in stock
  • Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
    • Bangalore - Offline
    • Open to online purchase
  • What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
    • Gaming
    • Browsing
  • If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
    • Single Player
  • What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage
    1. Gaming - 4k (TV)
    2. Desktop - 1440p
  • Are you looking to overclock?
    • Open to it

If you can, wait till the end of April or the beginning of May. There would be a sale on Amazon and Flipkart at that time. Usually, I pull prices on Amazon and Flipkart with EMI discounts and then bargain with shopkeepers.
Hopefully, new GPU prices will settle by then, and you can build everything together.

R5 7600 is good enough for 5070Ti/9070XT. If you plan to upgrade CPU later, this config has good upgradability, has 3x M.2 slot with good VRMs to even handle successor of 9800X3D.
Just a suggestion OP can save some money and get good VRM's and 2x m2 slots by buying Asrock b650m-hdv-m2 (not m2+) for around 12k which too can handle higher end processors. Also gigabyte has reportedly more cases of coil whine on their mobos if noise is an issue too.

OP has the budget, 4k for 3rd M.2 is not a bad deal. I had 2x 1TB SSDs, had to swap one of them for a 2TB SSD few months back.

Coil whine - I don't know how audile it is. I feel ambient noise level in India is very high to begin with, so noise is generally not a problem here vs in US (my room was pretty quite when I was living there).

Anyways upto OP.

Thanks for sharing the config, looks good.

Yeah, I'll think about this, I am planning on getting 2TB SSD separately (hopefully from techenclave when its in stock), which should be enough for my use case.

Suggesting an 850w PSU as many of the 9070XT models are seen to be requiring over 750w PSUs, it is also nice for future proofing. The AK400 should be more than enough to cool a 7600 and you wouldn't really require a X3D cpu for 4k gaming as most of the time you will be GPU bottlenecked. The Lancool 216 is a great case and might be a better choice considering the bigger sizes of the recent GPUs and their coolers and the 4000D only supports a max GPU length of 360mm vs the 392mm on the Lancool. Would not recommend going any where near Adata ram or storage as they can be highly unreliable.
