advice on new pc

I am looking to buy a new desktop but i am very confused over the configuration of cpu so please help me out.Well i am doing btech in cse and learning over cyber security, so i used to do a lot of programming and have to run a bit of heavy softwares.I am not that prone to gaming but i do used to play games sometimes.so please advice me what configuration will be ideal for me and approx cost for it.
