31-40k Advise needed for building i7 PC

guys i want to build an i7 machine with the following cofig.
core i7 2600 k
Gigabyte B75MD3H motherboard
Nvidia gtx 550 ti graphic card
4 gb ram.
cooler master 600 watt smps.

but the shopkeeper confused me by advising AMD FX 8120 instead of i7 2600k,
as AMD have 8 cores :scared14: :scared14: :scared14:

I heard that AMD processors have heating issues!!!!!
but 8 cores.........will it be worth buying or i have to stick with i7 2600k??????

please guied me & help me to choose a good mobo under 6k
and it will be so kind of you guys if you tell me the current price of the above products as well......

@mayanksharmaji please put your requirements in this template [appropriately]. We will be able to help you better knowing your budget, usage pattern and software suites.

We will not confuse you will inject you with knowledge & send to that seller & I will make sure you will make him look like a fool with all the tricks of trade we teach you here in TE :)
But fill in the template for better understanding
AMD 8 cores are decent but not great will let you know why ! :D
