Graphic Cards AGP Graphics Card under under 5 K

Hi guys,

Need to buy a AGP graphics card. i play Fifa games regularly. not much of the other games. Pls advice which graphics card to buy under 5 k.
My config-
P4 2.66 GHZ
intel 865 gbf mobo
512 ram
250 gb hard disk

I wont be upgrading the system for at least 6 months- 1 year.
since most mobos support only PCI-E card nowadays thats why dont want to spend too much now. also suggest if i can get a mobo for my config supporting PCIE and buy a PCIE card

Well , just for Fifa .. get a 6200 .. should be under 2.5k's ..

And u can't get just a new mobo supporting PCIe for ur config. ... Infact , i'd say u wait a bit and upgrade to the following :

AMD Athlon64 X2 3600+ - 3400

Asus M2N MX - 3600

2*512 MB Trancend ddr2-667 - 2*1100

The mobo has 6100 IGP , so it should hold out for Fifa for quite sometime ..
 
well man u see its no point in getting a new AGP card, better get the 6800gt offered here by spitefulpentium,

im having a 2.4GHZ p4 and can play TestDrive Unlimited at 1280*1204 with all details high and HDR Enabled ofcourse i overclocked mine to Ultra which i very doable in every GT, so get it that would be more than enough for u.
 
^^ aint crapping but ari x800 doesnt support Shader model 3.0 so u wont play the latest games. so be warned before u buy...
 
actually SM3 will just improve the quality/fram rates of the game.....if the game is DX9 it'll play fine on the x800....

its DX10 which isnt backwards compatible
 
6800 ultra and X850XT comparison
above link compares the x850xt with 6800 ultra. and ultra seems to be better.
a 6800gt can be clocked to ultra levels and would possibly achieve that performance. If an x800xt is only 10% lesser in performance than the x850xt then the 6800gt becomes suddenly better and cheaper too.

my card is available for 4.5k :)

i think Splinter Cell chaos theory is DX9 rite? but it wont play if the card doesnt have SM3 u can check it if u want to so thats why im saying the near future games will be like that.
 
sorry to all the guys for not replying to PM's. actually cannot access the PMS from office.(some security filters are put in place). and dont have a net connection yet at home. will goto a cyber cafe and reply soon. have to buy the card asap
