Ain't TE GT section getting little bit bored ?

The overall problem is that the forum is not buzzing with activity the way it once used to but I wouldn't be too worried about that.

It is a tech based forum so the GT section is secondary.

That would be cause of the new policy of this forum to increase the member count, most people come here to buy/sell now, earlier who came just or that ( and were brave enough to write in the TE asked intro ) were just kicked out.
At least 3 people i know gaveup joining TE cause of that stick registration process ( after a try )

rereading what i wrote seems a little too much, but atleast back then, there was a screening process that made TE a better community. After all a community is what the members make it.

I don't remember any screening process when I joined TE may be there was a screening process or maybe there wasn't. All I remember is that you needed a certain number of posts before you could use the market section and posts in GT section didn't count.

Also the reputation system was better than the current Like system as it needed the person who was giving a the reputation to write a small testimonial, the recipient too fate felt grateful (atleast I did).

I wouldn't say the new members are here for only buying or selling stuff but introduction of a few rules to limit such members would be a welcome move. Given enough time I am sure some would definitely contribute.
