Air Conditioner Recommendations 2012?

Summers are here again, And the old thread (although still useful) looks a little outdated. Hence a new thread

So, I need an AC for my room.

Dimensions: 10 X 12

Will be using it throughout the summers approx. 12 Hrs a day.

Budget 35K

I've shortlisted the following:

1. Sharp AH-AP18LMT 1.50 Ton (3 Star) - 32000 (with installation and stablizer)

2. Voltas Platinum 1.5 Ton (5 Star) - 34000 (with installation and stablizer)

3. Samsung Purista AS185BBH 1.5 Ton (5 Star) (It has inbuilt stablizer) - 37000

Go for voltas 5 star rating one. They are very efficient and are in the market for a very long time.

so you are buying an AC from one vendor and who will be installing it ?

Who is responsible for the damages to the unit (if any) while installing ?

Keep in mind servicing, that is the most important thing for an AC, no matter what you buy, you cant seem to escape that fact. Who is the best service provider in your area ?
