Airtel Balance Enquiry (SMS Based)

Is there any way to know the balance over SMS for Airtel(Rajasthan). This particular handset does not have USSD so cant use all those codes.

Try bal as sms to 121

Yes, it did help but its a 2 step process which does not work mostly. By sending this sms, it comes with all the options available like send 1 for select language, 2 airtel offers and so on. For 3, its balance and validity but it fails most of the time. Though sometimes the SMS comes with balance.
Any other alternative?

You should try *123# and then click on dial. It will give you the balance.

Thanks for the reply guys, I have sold off that phone and now I am using a phone which supports USSD. Anyone in similar situation can reply appropriately.
