Airtel broadband quality?

I live in borivali ,Mumbai and am using hathway cable broadband.
I am currently using a 2MBPS plan which is their highest speed.
I do not download much data and use 5 GB monthly at the most.
I do online gaming a lot and so the quality of broadband is most important.
Pings for FIFA 11 and Battlefield Bad company 2 are pretty bad on my connection.
Also my connections are throttled and and sometimes i do not get even half the speed.
I am thinking about changing my broadband connection to Airtel Broadband and their
4 MBPS impaitence plans.

QUESTION:How is the quality of airtel broadband in Mumbai.
How are the pings to european and american gaming servers.
How much downtime is there in a month.
Do they overcharge their customers.
How is their customercare?
 
Airtel pings are good enough but if you have the option of Reliance wired broadband connection they have the best lowest pings IMHO and thus very good for online gaming also Reliance has very good connectivity to US based servers.
 
Never ever take Airtel...they are the company which assumes everybody else is an ass and will take their LImited U n Limited plans..

Go with Reliance...otherwise you might have to check between a running game that ohh have i crossed the FUP yet...or you might realize yourself when you will be degraded to a meager 256 Kbps!!talk about broadband :)

SOrry for the rant but Airtel deserve it :)

AFAIK,Reliance Wired BB is very good for online gaming.

I used to play Americas Army,MMORPGs etc without any problem.

The only problem with Reliance is their fcking CC.....:mad:

But,they got good quality BB with out any FUP.....:)

Unfortunately I don't have any BB ATM only GPRS through mobile.....:(
